Mechanical/chemical or a mix of physically- and chemically- induced surface textures include elongated depressions, adhering particles, and arcuate/circular/ polygonal cracks. Surface textures produced by chemical or diagenetic reactions include solution pits, lenticular edge pits, mamillated textures, and denticular textures
