Descripción
Long term simulations results of the dynamics of the Gulf of Mexico using the 2.5 inhomogeneous layered model. The model does not include topography and the domain is restricted to the deep ocean region, with the 200 m depth contour as the lateral boundary. The model has three layers: an active upper layer representing the mixed layer through the coupling of a Niiler-Kraus mixed layer model, an active intermediate layer, and an infinite depth motionless deep layer. The numerical experiment was performed with fixed stratification and variable transport. Each variable is represented with the following attributes: Initial west longitude: 99.25; Initial north latitude: 17.5; Spatial resolution: longitudinal grid-size of 1/12°; latitudinal grid-size of 1/12°; Spatial dimension: 160 latitude grid points; 230 longitude grid points; Time-step: 10 days; Temporal dimension: 730 time steps; Non physical values: 9999 or -9999
